TES and Global Sources: Building the Bridge from Indonesia to Global Commerce
A new bridge for Indonesian builders: from discovering trusted global supply opportunities to helping international businesses understand the Indonesian market with more context.

A route designed for builders
JAKARTA, Indonesia — The Entrepreneurs Society (TES) has formalised a collaboration with Global Sources, creating a more intentional pathway for Indonesian entrepreneurs who are ready to look beyond a single market.
The purpose is simple, but the work is serious: help TES members discover relevant cross-border communities, trade events, organisers and sourcing conversations; and help businesses considering Indonesia arrive with a clearer understanding of the market, the people and the relationships that make a launch more durable.
A bridge, not a brochure
International expansion is rarely solved by a flight ticket, a badge, or a list of contacts. The real value sits between the meetings: knowing which category deserves attention, which supplier or buyer conversation is worth preparing for, how to present a brand credibly, and what must be in place before a promising introduction becomes a commercial relationship.
That is the space TES intends to serve. The collaboration with Global Sources is built around access with context — a bridge between Indonesian business owners and a global sourcing environment, supported by the peer network and practical market conversations that entrepreneurs need before, during and after a trade-show visit.
What the collaboration is meant to unlock
- For Indonesian entrepreneurs: a more deliberate route to supplier discovery, product and category intelligence, and international business relationships.
- For growing brands: a place to pressure-test their sourcing, positioning, margins, operations and market-readiness questions before making bigger commitments.
- For global businesses looking at Indonesia: a local ecosystem that can help turn first interest into more informed market-entry conversations.
- For the wider community: new reasons to share knowledge, make warm introductions and build trust across borders.
Access is not a guarantee of a transaction, partnership, visa, buyer outcome or market entry. It is a stronger starting point — and TES will encourage members to approach it with preparation, independent due diligence and a long-term view.
Global Sources Hong Kong Shows: the immediate opportunity
The next practical touchpoint is Global Sources Hong Kong Shows Phase 2, scheduled for 18–21 October 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. According to the organiser, the Phase 2 programme focuses on mobile electronics, smart home, security, lifestyle electronics and related sourcing opportunities with verified suppliers.
Eligible TES community members can begin through the TES Global Sources registration link. Participation, admission, travel and any buyer benefits remain subject to the organiser’s current terms, eligibility and availability.

A two-way commerce conversation
TES sees cross-border commerce as a two-way exchange. Indonesian brands need clearer paths to learn, source, distribute and scale internationally. At the same time, international companies exploring Indonesia need a grounded way to understand the country’s commercial rhythm, entrepreneurial communities and potential partners.
This collaboration opens the door to those conversations. The standard now is to make them useful: prepared founders, relevant introductions, respectful follow-through and business decisions that can stand up after the excitement of the first meeting.
