From a trade-show visit to a trade pathway

JAKARTA, Indonesia — The Entrepreneurs Society (TES) is collaborating with COMASIA and MEGA SHOW Hong Kong to build a more useful route between Indonesian entrepreneurs and Asian trade opportunities.

The ambition is not simply to bring people to a venue. It is to help members arrive better prepared to source, learn, connect and follow through — while helping international brands and suppliers begin more informed conversations about Indonesia.

Why MEGA SHOW matters for category builders

MEGA SHOW Hong Kong is one of COMASIA’s long-running sourcing platforms. The organiser’s 2026 overview describes a broad Made-in-Asia product mix spanning gifts and premiums, housewares and kitchen, festive products, toys and baby products, stationery and office supplies, travel goods, sporting goods, and related creative categories.

For a founder, buyer or brand operator, that breadth is useful only when it is paired with a point of view. Which products reinforce your positioning? Which supplier relationship can survive the demands of quality, lead time and margin? Which trend is a real customer signal, and which is merely noise? TES wants the collaboration to make space for those better questions.

The TES role: context, readiness and connection

  • Context: helping members frame the commercial question they need the event to answer.
  • Readiness: encouraging a sharp product brief, clear target economics, responsible sourcing standards and a credible brand story before outreach begins.
  • Connection: supporting relevant conversations across entrepreneurs, communities, organisers and prospective business partners.
  • Continuation: treating follow-up as part of the work, not an afterthought once everyone returns home.

The collaboration does not replace commercial, legal, compliance or supply-chain due diligence. It gives entrepreneurs a stronger ecosystem from which to make those decisions responsibly.

MEGA SHOW Hong Kong 2026 — Part 1

MEGA SHOW Hong Kong Part 1 is scheduled for 20–23 October 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. COMASIA is the organiser. The official fact sheet confirms the daily programme, venue and trade-buyer admission framework.

Indonesia in the conversation

Indonesia is not a generic destination market. It is a diverse, fast-moving commercial environment where community trust, category fit, distribution realities and local execution matter. TES wants international businesses to encounter that reality with curiosity and respect — and wants Indonesian members to have a fuller view of the partners they choose abroad.

This is the promise of the TES x COMASIA collaboration: fewer superficial exchanges, more prepared relationships, and a better bridge between the ambition to go global and the work required to do it well.
