Indonesia Retail Summit & Expo 2026 Jakarta: TES on Retail and Brand Growth
At IRSE 2026, TES placed the founder, brand, and community perspective inside a conversation about modern shopping behaviour and Indonesian retail growth.

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Indonesia Retail Summit & Expo (IRSE) 2026 was held on 26-27 August 2026 at Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue. The programme brought together retailers, brands, technology providers, government, and business communities around a customer-led view of retail.
Klemens Rahardja, Founder and CEO of The Entrepreneurs Society (TES), moderated the second-day session Next-Gen Retail Efficiency: Understanding Modern Shopping Behavior. The official programme also listed TES-led sessions on world-class brand relevance and leadership that multiplies productivity.
Start with the customer
The modern-retail discussion connected consumer insight, technology, and operations. The lesson applies to brand owners in Jakarta and across Indonesia: choices about availability, channels, customer experience, and communication should start with a sharper reading of what customers need.
For TES, forums such as IRSE matter because a founder's growth is not only a product question. Entrepreneurs also need to read the market, build cross-sector relationships, and translate changes in customer behaviour into clear business action.
Building brand relevance
TES brought the view that a resilient brand needs more than visibility. Relevance is built when positioning, product value, delivery quality, and customer experience move together. That is useful to an emerging retail brand as well as an established business entering a new channel.
